“Night of Champions” a Massive Success

The inaugural Night of Champions awards evening was held in Finnstown Castle Hotel on November 30th 2018.

A new concept, it allowed Motorsport Championships and disciplines to “plug in” to a ready made awards night, without having to source a location, MC, entertainment etc.  Unsurprisingly, it was booked out almost immediately, with the Irish Rallycross Championship joining the Coffee Perfection Endurance Series, the BOSS Ireland championship and the Irish Strykers at the fashionable west Dublin venue.

On arrival, guests walked the red carpet, were photographed by one of Ireland’s top photographers Michael Chester before enjoying a Champagne reception, where they were entertained by well known magician and illusionist Steve Spade.

The guests were then ushered into the banqueting suite where they enjoyed a five course meal and of course the awards ceremony. MC Leo Nulty welcomed the champions onto stage with a series of pre filmed videos, where they arrived in their respective race cars and subsequently ran into the room- much to the delight of the guests and supporters!

“There are two reasons we decided to run this event. Firstly, we believe that Champions should be celebrated- at a high profile event. Secondly, motorsport class organisers don’t like running smaller awards events. Most of them see an event like this as the holy grail- they can confirm their class attandance and sit back and enjoy it like everyone else.

We pride ourselves on delivering events with a difference and I am happy that our team did so on this occasion. We already have different classes asking to join the Night of Champions 2019- which is already in the planning process.”
