This coming Monday, August 6th, the Dalkey Vintage Festival will once again take place on the main street of the South Dublin village.

This event has grown in popularity since its inception a few years ago and is now a firm favourite amongst Classic Car fans and motoring enthusiasts alike. The 2018 event is bigger and better than ever before and we are delighted that Leo has been asked to MC the event once again.

For the first time, the event is not confined to the Church car park as the main street of Dalkey will be closed off to accomodate more classic cars and some street entertainment. There will also be an F1 simulator on site for budding Lewis Hamiltons to test their skills! Celebrity guests confirmed to attend are Paddy Hopkirk, Brent Pope, Alec Poole and Pat Kenny but don’t be too surprised if you spot a few more, as previous visitors have included Amy Huberman, Damian Duff, Dickie Rock, Gary O’Toole, Neil Francis and many many more!

Amongst the classics on display, watch out for an extremely rare “Gullwing” Mercedes and a number of famous Irish registered Mini Coopers! The judges, as ever are Rosemary Smith and Larry Mooney and the event starts at 11am- don’t miss it! Oh and make sure you look your best, as ace photographer Michael Chester will be out and about!
